All things green and good will be presented at this year’s annual Sustainable Living Exhibition when it is held at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 15 – 17 September 2017.
EThekwini Municipality is gearing up to host a bumper exhibition this year with more than 250 exhibitors showcasing their greening products and services. The event promises to be a fun, educational and informative showcase of all things green, environmentally friendly and sustainable. Packed with water saving technology, energy saving gadgets, recycling alternatives, food and water wise garden advice and ideas, the exhibition will make it easy for you to green your lifestyle. Sustainable living does not have to stop at home either. Research proves that business and transport is responsible for the most of the carbon emissions in the atmosphere. In this regard, a certain highlight will be the shipping container that has been converted into a boardroom showing the public an example of sustainable solutions to water, energy and building materials.
Visit the go-Durban stand to learn to more about what the city’s vision for an efficient public transport system, or the numerous schools who lead the recycling revolution and community food gardening initiatives. The Exhibition comes at a time when the Kwa-Zulu Natal province is feeling the effects of climate change. There is something for everyone at the event with activities for both young and old planned including talks, demonstrations, puppet shows, quizzes and movies. Please bring along your unwanted clothes, books, toys and shoes for donation to a worthy charity.
Make sure you don’t miss it. Entrance is free.
